New Year Book

I have just finished my new book for this year. Instead of being the same as last year when I made one with a space to paint a tiny picture each day last year. This year I've made one with thicker paper at my Mum's request, and it only has a page (2 sides) for each week of the year. I enjoyed doing something each day but I also wanted to have the time to do a bigger one each week.

Thought I'd post a few of my favourite daily painting from the last few years.

Biscuit making

I bought myself a biscuit making set after my car broke down, to cheer myself up. It worked, I love it and they taste yummy!

Wheat and dairy free dark chocolate (crumbly) shortbread ones
Orange milk chocolate shortbread ones
White and dark chocolate shortbread one (there were many more but they disappeared for some reason)

Latest Things

I don't think I'm going to look at just how long it was since I put anything here. But I'm going to put my latest daily mini drawings. It started well and Jan 1st with me deciding to practice drawing with pencils and that carried on for most of the first week before I went back to using pen and ink from the second week on.
week 1 2015 small
week 2 2015 small
week 3 2015 small
The first three weeks are done, there are titles on the Flickr page mentioning what the pictures are, if I got the link right.
Will I keep it up? I hope so, I've enjoyed doing something for the last few years. I even printed and made a book for me and Mum this year and she has kept up doing something as well, i'll just go and see what she did for today! .....It's in progress!
That does bring up the dilemma of what I am going to do for today...............

Still busy painting a picture each day

I find Inspiration from all over and even though I have been trying to paint more things from real life instead of photos, sometimes I don't have the time or the inspiration. So I find picture in other places and one of my favourite places is Flickr. I save the pictures I like, that inspire me, catch my eye, or just places I miss. So go and have a look at these wonderful artists over there.

I love the different gold, green and bronze papers I used and I have a set ready to make into another for me! The boards were from the scrapstore and now I wish I'd got more of them. I covered them back and front and them had a fight with how to bind it loose enough together so you could still look at each of the pages. I am going online soon to look at more ways. The pages are big enough for one 4x6 photo and some bits and pieces and maybe a bit of journalling.

Just trying to cheer a few people up xx
